We work with health professionals, charities and organisations to ensure places are offered to families in need, with priority offered to families of children with serious illnesses and those with children in home based palliative care.

Other long term illnesses may be considered, however, due to limited availability it is not guaranteed respite can be offered.

At Maya's Rest we offer non medically assisted respite, care givers must administer all medications and any medical equipment must be brought with the family. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children who are on life support equipment.

While Maya's Rest has bathing and toileting aids; respite may prove difficult for families that have mobility dependent children they are not able to lift or carry.

We invite requests to stay directly from families of children with serious illnesses and families that are grieving the loss of their child. If you know of an eligible family, please urge them to apply.

For bookings please email us your name, contact details and family circumstances via the link below and we will reply as soon as possible.
